Rook is very biddable, a superb natural outrunner and has great pace. He has confidence and power with the ability to quietly work ewes with lambs as well as tough rams. He also has a wonderful temperament both on and off stock. Rook has qualified for the USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals eight years in a row (competing at six of them). His lines go back to ## Dalziel's Wisp and #Dryden Joe on his sire's side and #Bwlch Taff, Wiston Cap, Thomas' Don and Bwlch Bracken on his Dam's side.
Rook is the sire of Fieldstone Tweed, who received the "Ralph Pulfer Memorial Award for the Most Promising Young Dog" at the 2006 USBCHA National Finals in Klamath Falls, OR. Pups from Rook's second litter, out of Meg, started working at 9 weeks old. See Whitt and Kep on the Future Fieldstone Stars page or click to see short video clip of Kep working. And pups out of the Rook x Hattie litter (born January 28, 2008) were also keen at 9 weeks old (see Soot and Vegas on the Future Fieldstone Stars page).
Rook's eyes are clear and CEA DNA tested normal. Hips are OFA'ed.
